Collaborations and partnerships are the foundations of CinemaO

In 2025, our first year of operation, we partnered with many incredible organisations.

Main partners

In 2025, our first year of operation, we partnered with many incredible organisations. We launched CinemaO and released Issue 00 of The Black Cube in May 2025, in partnership with Cannes Next, the technology program of the Cannes Film Festival. We hosted industry rountables at the Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg and the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

We co-produced elements of Locarno Altrove, a Milan-based residency program run by the Locarno Film Festival. We also hosted a live podcast and built a content and media partnership with the Contemporary Immersive and Virtual Arts (CIVA) Festival in Vienna, which was hosted by Belvedere 21. Additionally, we established a new media partnership with the European Film Academy to inform our editorial content and public programming, connecting the Academy's members with our community.

We were grateful to receive a development grant from the Municipality of Milan, which included a mentorship program led by Avanzi, a Milan-based social impact advisory firm, as one of its non-financial benefits.
